Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn’s days of sitting on the floor on packed Virgin East Coast trains could come to an end thanks to new “smart seats” to manage ticket sales.
Virgin is introducing sensors in its seats which detect how full, or empty, its trains are on the day of travel.
