MARTIN COUNTY — Local support for federal tax dollars to pay for the $100 million replacement of the St. Lucie River railroad bridge continued to build Tuesday with backing from the County Commission.
Despite building momentum for a new bridge — to be shared by freight line Florida East Coast Railway and Virgin Trains USA passenger service — questions remain on clear next steps.
