The Florida Department of Transportation has been asked to investigate the way the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority awards contracts to run Tri-Rail trains.
It follows protests from four companies that have shared Tri-Rail operations for the past decade but were among five companies that were disqualified in their bid to renew those contracts.
