Ottawa waits for rail business plan for former Algoma Central passenger service in Ontario

MP Terry Sheehan is waiting for a business plan to bring to his Liberal caucus to try to secure federal government funding to restore passenger rail service between Sault Ste. Marie and Hearst.

The Conservative government ended a $2.2-million annually subsidy for passenger rail between the two communities in January 2014.
