Massachusetts: Second commuter train platform planned for Worcester Union Station

WORCESTER – It’s been talked about for years, but now a second train platform at Union Station is “in the offing,” according to Keolis General Manager and CEO David Scorey, and the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority expects to solicit design bids this fall.

“My expectation is that it is more than a pipe dream, it’s something that is definitely going to happen,” Mr. Scorey told the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce last week. “The new platform at Union Station has to be done in order for the network to continue to grow.”
