Kansas City Southern is among a group of eight railroads suing a union that it says won’t negotiate on the size of train crews.
The railroads filed suit against the International Association of Sheet Metal, Air, Rail and Transportation Workers-Transportation Division roughly a month before the sides are to begin negotiating a new contract, FreightWaves reports. The action claims that the union has not allowed discussion of the size of train crews, citing moratoriums in existing agreements.
