How New Jersey Transit will spend its $242 M windfall from Governor Murphy

There will be more bus drivers, train engineers, and conductors. Bus and rail facilities will be upgraded.

Gov. Phil Murphy laid out plans for more hiring at NJ Transit that will be financed by a $242 million allocation he proposed in the state budget to right the troubled agency he pledged to tear down and rebuild.
