Gov. Phil Murphy said he ordered NJ Transit Executive Director Kevin Corbett to announce a restoration date this week for the closed Atlantic City Rail Line and the Princeton Shuttle, between Princeton University and Princeton Junction. Both rail lines have been closed since September so that NJ Transit could meet a Dec. 31 deadline to install federally mandated emergency braking systems on all its rail lines.
