B.C.’s Rocky Mountaineer has another accolade to add to its awards cabinet.
The company, which has a significant footprint in Kamloops, has been named the World’s Leading Luxury Train for 2020 by the World Travel Awards. While it hasn’t operated this year, it beat out 11 other luxury tourism train based around the world, including the Royal Canadian Pacific (which also travels the Rockies), The Blue Train (through South Africa) and Deccan Odyssey (which travels India).
