Boston commuter train derailed amid stormy rush hour

A fallen branch on a commuter rail track appears to be the cause of the low-speed derailment that stranded close to 100 riders in Wilmington Thursday morning. officials said.

Keolis Commuter Services, which runs the commuter rail, said it is working to resolve the problem on the inbound train from Lowell amid a surge of weather-related delays for riders across the regional rail system.
