AUSTRIAN Federal Railways (ÖBB) has announced it intends to hire sleeping and couchette cars for its Nightjet overnight services.
A so-called market investigation has been announced in the official EU Journal, which calls for two options. Option one calls for four sleeping and four couchette cars to be hired between 2020 and 2023 which can operate in Germany, Denmark and Sweden with maintenance to be carried out in the Hamburg area.
