HARTFORD — The Waterbury and Danbury branches of the Metro-North Railroad are not going to receive any of the 60 replacement rail cars that the state government will be purchasing for commuter rail lines.
The State Bond Commission voted Thursday to approve a bond allocation for $300 million to finance the purchase that had initially included the Waterbury and Danbury lines.
