WORCESTER – The Worcester Redevelopment Authority is seeking a waiver to the city’s demolition delay ordinance so construction can begin on a center island platform and pedestrian bridge at Union Station.
John Odell, the city’s energy and asset manager, has filed a petition with the Worcester Historical Commission requesting the waiver, on behalf of the WRA, which owns and operates Union Station, as well as the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, in conjunction with the Federal Transit Administration.
