Brightline has made additional progress on its $2.7 billion Orlando expansion route.
The Miami intercity rail company is about 45% complete on its roughly 170-mile expansion from West Palm Beach, Brightline’s executive vice president of infrastructure development Michael Cegelis said during a Nov. 12 Central Florida Expressway Authority meeting. The project — which has more than 1,000 construction workers active on-site — is on track to meet its construction completion timeline of late 2022.
