With a job offer in hand earlier this year, Matthew Sturgill thought he had a new career: conductor for Norfolk Southern.
But then a company executive he’d never met saw the results of his physical exam. At 5 feet 10 inches tall and 305 pounds, the exec said, he was too fat.
