The Daily CSX: CSX reassures customers it can handle peak season this year

In a letter to CSX (Nasdaq: CSX) customers, Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing Mark Wallace reassures customers that the Jacksonville-based railroad can handle peak season despite its trimmed workforce, fleet, yards and rail lines. CSX’s transformation to scheduled railroading, an operating model the railroad began adopting in 2017, has yielded efficiency improvements, especially faster trains, less train dwell time and longer trains.

“With the start of peak season quickly approaching, we know that finding capacity and managing high demand is top of mind for your business,” Wallace wrote.
