Jacksonville-based CSX acknowledged on Wednesday that it did have plans to relocate train dispatchers in various cities to Jacksonville, but some dispatchers whose offices were not yet relocated relied on an unauthorized posting of a proposed schedule that had not been finalized to begin moving their households to Jacksonville.
CSX said on Tuesday that there was miscommunication over a June notice posted in Atlanta to relocate and consolidate train dispatchers from several cities to Jacksonville by 2018. Less than a dozen of those dispatchers started the relocation before the general plan was to be implemented, and before the company had facilities and jobs readily available for them.
