A spike was driven through the proposed Houston-Dallas high-speed railway project earlier this week, but it’s not stopping Texas Central Partners’ plans from chugging along.
87th Judicial District Judge Deborah Evans ruled that the Texas Central Railway and Integrated Texas Logistics Inc. “are not a railroad or interurban electric rail, meaning they do not have eminent domain authority,” according to a press release from Texans Against High-Speed Rail, or TAHSR. The project is being implemented by Dallas-based Texas Central Partners LLC.
