Virgin Trains USA on April 4 announced its $2.3 billion Orlando-to-Miami route has been fully funded.
The Coral Gables-based intercity passenger train — which currently is operating on a three-stop route in South Florida — has been seeking financing to expand the route from West Palm Beach into Orlando International Airport. The company previously said its Miami-to-Orlando train service will carry an estimated 6.6 million passengers per year once operations are stabilized in 2023.
