MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – A member of the Southern Rail Commission says he’s been terminated by Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey, just one week after strongly urging the Governor to pledge to fund for passenger Amtrak service between Mobile and New Orleans.
Jerry Gehman says he received an email notifying him of the decision, although he says the letter does not give a reason for the termination.
