The future of Huron Central Railway between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury remains in limbo as a deadline has passed without a funding commitment from the provincial government.
Huron Central Railway has said it needs about $3.7 million per year from the Ontario government for the next five years in order to make infrastructure improvements that will allow the freight line to continue.
