Advocates of passenger rail transportation across the North want to roll back time, and move it forward at the same time.
Just look at a new Ontario map, specifically one of Northern Ontario, said Lucille Frith, spokesperson for the Northeastern Ontario Rail Network and member of the Committee Promoting Muskoka Rail Travel.
While the new highway maps show the intricate network of road travel, the train tracks linking communities have disappeared.
“The train tracks have been taken off the maps for the past two years,” she said in an interview Thursday with the Sault Star.
