Supporters of the proposed passenger train connecting Minneapolis and Duluth were in Washington, D.C. last month advocating for funding.
During the last week in October, St. Louis County Commissioners Keith Nelson and Patrick Boyle and NLX Alliance Technical Advisory Committee Chair Ken Buehler met with Minnesota Senators Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith, Wisconsin Senators Ron Johnson and Tammy Baldwin and Minnesota Representatives Pete Stauber and Angie Craig, according to a news release Tuesday. The group also met with several Amtrak officials.
