SPRINGFIELD — Two historic wooden benches that are on long-term loan to Union Station from Grand Central Terminal in New York City are now refinished and slated for delivery Wednesday, city officials said.
U.S. Rep. Richard E. Neal, D-Springfield, who brokered the deal to bring the unused benches to the newly refurbished station on Frank B. Murray Street last year, praised the news of their pending arrival.
