The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announced on April 8 that John J. Brennan III is set to join the DOT agency as Chief Counsel.
For the past 11 years, Brennan has served as Senior Counsel for Commerce at Union Pacific (UP) in Omaha, Neb., where he led “public-private rail projects with over $1.3 billion in contracts executed in several states, managed the railroad’s day-to-day legal relationship with Amtrak and ensured compliance with Federal requirements including Buy America and Davis-Bacon,” FTA said.
