… —All 41 railroads required by law to implement positive train control either met the New Year’s Eve deadline to install the automatic-braking technology or qualify for a two-year extension. But with only four railroads reporting full implementation, the rest have a ways to go to meet the PTC mandate before 2020. Keeping an eye on that process will be another priority for transportation leaders in Congress this year.
