Only a week in office, Gov. Phil Murphy on Tuesday tapped transportation veteran Kevin Corbett to head NJ Transit, another step in overhauling an agency he last month called a “national disgrace.”
Corbett’s appointment comes only a day after Murphy ordered a comprehensive audit of the troubled agency’s finances, personnel practices and operations.
