Jacksonville-based CSX Corp. (Nasdaq: CSX) faces two new lawsuits from fired employees, both brought in U.S. District Court in the Middle District of Florida in Jacksonville.
One, a class action filed July 23 on behalf of five former CSX employees and “others similarly situated,” alleges that CSX violated federally protected rights under the Family and Medical Leave Act. CSX has faced several suits alleging violations of FMLA, which gives qualifying employees time off without fear of job loss.
