Federal investigators say they will analyze electronic data recorders to try to determine whether warning signals and crossing arms were working properly when an Amtrak train chartered by Republican members of Congress slammed into a garbage truck at a Crozet railroad crossing.
The Wednesday crash at Marymart Farm and Lanetown roads killed Christopher Foley, 28, of Louisa, and seriously injured Dennis Eddy, according to Ruckersville-based Time Disposal, which operated the truck.
