Considering the amount of time and money already spent on the Hartford Line commuter railway, it’s embarrassing that the state Department of Transportation might have to push back the opening of the line by weeks.
It’s also not ideal that the line will have to debut with some hastily repaired castoff cars that were salvaged from Massachusetts, instead of the cars that have been in use on the Shore Line East line, as planned.
