With shipping containers piling up at rail heads and marine ports across the country due to First Nation’s blockages of railways, a tiny fraction of goods are being shipped by local trucking firms.
But the trucking industry is in no position to pick up on short notice a larger portion of the $250 billion in goods shipped by Canadian National Railway every year, said trucking insiders on Wednesday speaking with The Intelligencer.
