HAVERHILL — Eleven-year-old Jesse DiChiara had the rare opportunity to stand alongside the engineer of an MBTA commuter train that departed the Bradford train station on Monday afternoon.
As the train approached speeds of up to 60 mph, Jesse stared intently at the tracks that lay ahead. He had a view that passengers don’t usually get.
