East Japan Railway Co. (JR East) has revamped menus on its luxury trains to regale passengers with local specialties from areas along its lines.
The firm named a renowned Japanese chef as the supervisor for meals served aboard the “Gran Class,” dubbed the Shinkansen’s first-class service.
A French chef was appointed executive chef for the luxury sleeper Train Suite Shiki-shima.
