Amtrak will close two ticket counters in Montana in early June with company officials citing the decision as a cost-saving move and the fact 90 percent of riders are buying tickets online or via telephone.
The counter at the Havre station will close June 1 and the Shelby ticket counter will close June 3, an Amtrak spokesman said. Five employees will be affected by the change.
