At 9:35 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, the Brightline train took off from its West Palm Beach station heading for Fort Lauderdale where elected officials and business leaders gathered to commemorate the milestone.
Commuter service begins Saturday with one-way fares priced at $10 for standard seating and $15 for the passenger train’s premium coach.
