They’ve drawn 40,000 people to the Adirondack community of North Creek in the two years they’ve been in operation. And the founders of Revolution Rail, which offers a trip through forests on board so-called rail bikes, hope that business can continue even as local officials push to abandon the rail line the company uses.
Typically, “abandonment means the tracks disappear,” said Mike Dupee, one of the founders. “That’s not necessarily the case.”
