Some 1,500 NJ Transit commuters found themselves on a horror train two days before Halloween as they found themselves packed into stifling, dark train cars filled with fighting commuters and a “Hunger Games”-like atmosphere, witnesses said Tuesday.
“It is crowded, uncomfortably hot, and we dont know when we’ll get home,” passenger Carianne Hixson tweeted Monday after he train came to a stop and lost power shortly after leaving Penn Station at about 6:10 p.m. “October on #njtransit has been hell.”
