Democrats and Republicans in Congress don’t agree on much, but two senators from opposing parties think Amtrak should keep its ticket window and staff at Union Terminal.
Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, and Sen. Rob Portman, R-Ohio, wrote a letter to Amtrack CEO Richard Anderson asking him to reconsider the company’s decision to close the ticket window at the historic station and eliminate the two full-time clerk positions.
