Dozens more suits accusing the nation’s largest railroads of colluding to fix prices in the early 2000s have been filed, with the cases being consolidated in Washington D.C.
CSX Corp. and other major railroads — specifically BNSF Railway, Norfolk Southern Corp. and Union Pacific Corp. — face a swelling number of complaints related to allegations of price fixing more than a decade ago. The railroads face potentially hundreds of millions in damages over the alleged conspiracy to price fix rail fuel surcharges in the early 2000s.
