STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — While Americans took nearly 10 billion trips on public transportation in 2018, the enormous number actually represents a decline from the previous year, according to a recent report.
In 2018, U.S. citizens took 9.9 billion trips on public transportation, a 2.0 percent decrease from 2017, according to the American Public Transportation Association (APTA).
