Track repairs slated at century-old Hoboken, New Jersey rail terminal

HOBOKEN, N.J. (AP) — Hoboken’s more than 100-year-old rail terminal will be the site of track repairs similar to those performed last summer at New York’s Penn Station that forced service cutbacks around the region.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey on Thursday approved about $30 million for the work in an area where two tunnels feed into three station tracks. It’s similar, though on a much smaller scale, to work done by Amtrak last summer at Penn Station in New York City.
