The Daily CSX: Family of CSX CEO Harrison pays $14M to buy out partner on equestrian property

The family of CSX Corp. CEO E. Hunter Harrison paid $14.125 million to buy full control of an equestrian estate in Wellington.

The Bennington Farm Corp., managed by Ira J. Gumberg as the president of Pittsburgh-based commercial real estate firm J.J. Gumberg Co., sold a 50 percent interest in the property at 4715 and 4827 125th Avenue South to Double H Property Holdings, which is managed by members of the Harrison family. The property has 22,688 square feet of equestrian facilities, such as stables, on a 32.5-acre site that includes riding rings, a hunter/jumper course, a lake and a tennis court.
