Star New York City subway fixer could be stripped of major responsibilities: report

New York’s star subway fixer could lose much of his power in a reorganization of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Under a draft of the plan, NYC Transit President Andy Byford would no longer control subway capital projects, according to reports from NY1 and the Daily News. He also would lose supervision of the city’s buses.
