New tracks and stations are in place. But Amtrak train service beyond its busy corridor between Manhattan and Rensselaer station hasn’t increased.
While Rensselaer sees 13 southbound weekday departures for New York’s Penn station, Schenectady sees just seven, and Saratoga Springs, two.
