Help guide future of train station in Port Huron, Michigan

Port Huron’s Amtrak station is a hidden victim of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. It doesn’t have enough space and amenities for train travelers because it was never meant to anchor Amtrak’s Blue Water Route between Port Huron and Chicago. Instead, it was supposed to be just an intermediate stop as trains sped between Toronto and Chicago.

Now, though, Canadian passengers can’t board the train on their side of the river. They must drive over to Port Huron and park their cars at the 16th Street station and creating parking issues.
