Canadian federal government Liberals reject second round of Senate transport amendments

The Trudeau government says it will reject two Senate amendments to its proposed legislative overhaul of Canada’s transportation system.

Karen McCrimmon, the parliamentary secretary to the minister of transport, said in the House of Commons on Friday the government does not agree with the amendments, arguing the legislation is balanced. The Liberals are expected to use their majority to vote down the amendments.
