After Iowa Pacific in New York State: Warren County warns rail tracks still active

Warren County officials warned people this week that the railroad it owns from Corinth to to North Creak is still active – even as the railroad company that leased the tracks moves the last of its rail cars and equipment out of the county.

In the spring, Warren County ended its lease with Saratoga and North Creak Railway, owned by Iowa Pacific Holdings, to use the county-owned tracks that stretch through the county, eventually linking with tracks that stretch to Tahawus. The company in May suspended its tourist train that ran from Saratoga Springs to North Creek.
