U.S., New York: New Buffalo Amtrak station opens downtown, handling curtailed runs amid pandemic

Passengers are few these days, but Amtrak’s rail service in Buffalo began to use the shiny new Exchange Street Station on Sunday.

The station’s first scheduled train was the 12:55 p.m. Maple Leaf, which in pre-pandemic days ran from Toronto to New York City with a stop in Buffalo.
