U.S., Illinois: Chicago Metra sues Union Pacific for refusing to send conductors to collect tickets on trains during the pandemic

The train conductor ticket collection dispute between Metra and Union Pacific has arrived in court.

Metra filed a breach of contract lawsuit Wednesday in Cook County Circuit Court alleging Union Pacific’s “arbitrary and capricious” refusal to send conductors back into passenger cars during the pandemic has damaged Metra’s bottom line, reputation and customer experience.
