Virgin Trains USA will spend $121.5 million to repair and replace 19 railroad bridges between Brevard and Palm Beach counties as construction for the higher-speed passenger rail ramps up ahead of its late-2022 completion goal.
That price tag for the bridges along Virgin Trains’ Phase 2 corridor does not include a potential $100 million replacement of the St. Lucie River railroad bridge in Stuart. The details around that most expensive replacement remain scant.
